For couples who are seeking to be united in Christian marriage, Central Presbyterian Church offers a beautiful site for a wedding of any size—whether a grand ceremony in the Sanctuary, or an intimate gathering in the Cownie Chapel—as well as reception space in the East Parlor or Fellowship Hall.

The church has a wedding coordinator on staff who is available to assist couples with all of the details. The pastor typically meets with a couple three times to get acquainted, prepare for marriage and plan the service. And the organist confers with the couple about music for the wedding.

The Session has prepared a Wedding Service Manual which includes the church’s guidelines as well as the fee schedule. Central Presbyterian Church is open to same-sex weddings, in keeping with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)’s commitment to inclusiveness.

Although it is always our priority to accommodate weddings of church members or friends with a connection to Central, our facilities may be open to non-members who wish to be united in Christian marriage, depending on the availability of space and staff.

For more information on weddings at Central Presbyterian Church, or to find out if a date is available, please contact the church office by email or phone at 515-279-3658. We look forward to hearing from you and talking about your wedding day.

In marriage, a couple willingly binds themselves together in love and becomes one, as Christ is one with the church.
